If you've done years of talk therapy and felt like you understand your patterns but still can't shift them, that's exactly the gap my work closes — combining traditional talk therapy with body-based methods that get to the root, not just the symptoms.
I'm a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, part of the international SE training team, and registered with PACFA as a Certified Practising Counsellor.

Contact →You don't need to have experienced something 'big' for this work to be right for you. A lot of what brings people to me is more subtle — growing up in a family that looked fine but was controlling, shaming, or emotionally distant. That counts. If you're not sure whether what you're feeling is 'enough,' it is.
Not necessarily 'big-T' trauma. A lot of what I work with is chronic stress and ongoing relational patterns. If you've been told 'nothing really happened to you,' that doesn't mean nothing needs healing.
Sessions combine traditional talk therapy with body-oriented approaches, always at a tailored pace. The first session is about getting a sense of you, not gathering your full history.
This isn't a short-term fix. Most clients work with me for 12 months or more. If you're looking for a quick solution, I may not be the right fit.
I'm a counsellor and psychotherapist, not a psychologist — our work isn't diagnostic or covered by Medicare. What I offer is a deeply relational, body-based approach.
$200 for 50 minutes. Not covered by Medicare.
In-person at my Newtown practice is preferred. Online via Zoom is available in some circumstances — for example, if a health condition makes it difficult to leave home.

My core work is trauma-informed psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing. Depending on what is right for you, I also draw on yoga therapy and Biodynamic Craniosacral Release — a gentle, body-based technique that supports nervous system regulation.
