You don't need a big trauma story for this to be for you — a lot of what brings people here is more subtle: growing up in a family that looked fine but was controlling, shaming, or emotionally distant. That counts.
Sessions are 50 minutes, in-person at my Newtown practice or, in some cases, online via Zoom. The first session is about getting a sense of you, not gathering your full history.
Priority one with any trauma work is safety — building trust, finding your internal resources — alongside psychoeducation on what trauma does to your nervous system. Once there's real safety, we go deeper: tracking sensation, working with what didn't get to complete, reconnecting you to your own sense of power and agency. Always at your pace.
"When will I get better?" You can't fast-track your way out of a stressed nervous system — slowing down comes first.
There's no online booking for sessions — only the free 15-minute intro call books online via Calendly. If it's a good fit, we book your first session directly, generally at the end of that call.
